New Segment! "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly"

I am proud to say that I will be adding a new segment to the blog! Its called The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly! So what can you expect?

The Good!
"The Good" will include the latest dish on Top Horses, Voting/Polls, and ETC.

The Bad!
"The Bad" will include recent "dumb" statements players have posted, outright stupidity, and etc.
Of course, names will be fuzzed out, we don't want anyone to have a fuss ^.^

The Ugly!
"The Ugly" will most likely include pictures of terrible tack combinations, but other than that, I really have no ideas for this segment, lol. Please comment below, to give me some ideas, I'd really appreciate them. :]

Just a little update, nothing big. However, the first TGBU will be posted tonight :D
Bye for now!

New Update! New Horse / "New" Companion

It seems like only yesterday that we received a fabulous new breed! However, Horse Isle has been consistent lately in terms of updates. Not only a few days ago was the day the new breed, the Kerry Bog Pony was introduced. I've got to say, everyone is crazy to get their hands on one! A few players from the Cremello server have at least one, and amazingly, the Pinto server was lucky to find a 99 uted KBP! Congrats Pintabians! :]
(right) Picture of CutieUniversity's KBP Mare, Lanai, with Peggy Tack and a Fennec Fox. Love you Cutie!!
My opinion on the breed? I absolutley love it! The remarkably gorgeous and adorable pony comes in the following colors:

Black - Brown - Bay - Dun - White - Grey - Pinto - Palomino - Chestnut

So, the new companion. It's back! Jack O Lantern has a gift for all who visit him, and it's a pumpkin companion. However, this orange and inanimate object will be eaten throughout it's life, and will eventually be gone! According to Horse Isle, "don't get too attached..."

New Update! New Horse and Companion

Sorry that I've been lagging this month, but I'm here again, on a late notice, to tell you all about the newest breed and companion on HI1 :]

Our new breed is the Mongolian Horse. Don't shorten it's name to "mong" though, it can get you in trouble, from what I've learned. Naginata [mod] seems to catch people a lot for that, so don't do it. However, yes, the word "mong" does have a bad derogatory meaning to it. Anyways, I love the new breed. I adore the black. In fact, I even got to buy one not to long ago from a bud, ChainHeart,(shout out!!) His name is Mongo Bongo, a wonderful name created by TomTom [mod].

The new companion is an adorable polar bear cub that quietly sits by your horse's front hooves. Not a favorite of mine, but you'll have to see it for yourself ;D

Sorry for such a short post, but that's all I really have to offer. Hope you enjoyed this month's update!

NEW Update! New Horse/Companion

To say the least, I freaked out when I noticed the new update. Since I'm very tired, and have to go to school in a few minutes, I copied and pasted from Horse Isle:
Finally a game update! Sorry for the delay. Hopefully this is worth it for some.
New breed: Russian Heavy Draft
New companion: Skunk
7 new quests
4 new jungle temples
There is now a limit set up so it is impossible to go over the on-hand money limit. This means you cannot trade for money if it will put you over $2.1 billion. Same goes for if you try to sell something. Again, we apologize for those that lost money due to this problem.
Enjoy!
-Joe and Miranda
The Russian Heavy Draft. The skunk. 7 new quests, money limit. Just to be an amazingly kind blogger and news reporter, I have given you a picture of this new breed. Here it 'is:

Interesting looking thing, am I right? But uts are good, as you might be able to see in the picture. Anyways, I haven't checked out that skunk yet. Possibly today or tomorrow I can post a picture. From now on, my little person and her horse are staying at the whisperer. Yes, I might have said it did look a bit strange, but isn't it such fun to own a new breed? Also, as a little joke, for now, the skunk companion will be the horse's companion. That's it for now, bye!

WANTED: Editors and Bloggers. REWARD: 50k a Month

Since the upkeep of a blog is even harder than trying to sell an 80 uted horse, I am now accepting a job or two for this blog. No doubt, I've already told my buds from Cremello about this blog. If you are a buddy of mine from Cremello, and would like to accept this wonderful job, please mail me or horse isle or give me a comment below.
Here is how it'll work:
I must know you well or you are one of my very best buds on HI.
You prove to me that you will edit and write well. To do this, I will give you a 2 paragraphed blog entry. You must fix the mistakes I purposely made in the entry. If you do the best, you will receive the job. If you fail to make, for example, at least 8 out of 10 errors corrections, you won't get the job. I don't do this to put you down, or prove something negative. I just want to know how well you will write. This blog is very important to me, and any huge mistakes will ruin its reputation of being clear and informative.
If you do get the job, expect to be paid (in horse isle) 50k a month. I will increase this pay up to 20k more if you get extra credit during your "audition". You can get Ex C by finding grammer errors I didn't even notice myself. Easy, huh?

Popular Horse Isle Terms and Acronyms

Do we all remember our first day on Horse Isle? Well, I do. I remember being completely confused at the "Come ESJ!" ads and ones like these: "Taking offers on a pally AM Stally with 1527 exp and 90.6 uts. pm me now."
What the heck does THAT mean? I often thought.
Let's get to the point. No matter if your a newborn, newbie, or even a toddler on Horse Isle, you'll find this list of terms very helpful. It includes the most popular words and acronyms used in global, around PMs, and of course, Ads Chat.
So here we go-
•Wimple/WSJ: Stands for "Witherton Simple Jumping". This is a show jumping arena in which players compete against each other in a Jumping game. Wimple is in rider isle, accessible by going to Earton docks. See "ESJ".
•ESJ: Stands for Earton Simple Jump. Found at most north Horse Isle city.
•EB: Earton Bank. Many players will ask you to meet there to organize a trade. As you will notice, many players stand there so others do not assume they are catching a wild horse or et cetera.
•EA: Earton Auctions.
•ISH: Horse Breed, Irish Sport Horse
•AM: Horse Breed, American Mustang
•SB: Horse Breed, Spanish Barb
•Fala: Horse Breed, Falabella
•IW: Horse Breed, Iberian Warmblood
•Walky: Horse Breed, Walkaloosa
•Iccy Tack: Icarus Tack, a 10 million set of tack that appears to have fire blazing on the tack.
•Peggy Tack: Pegasus Tack, another 10 million set of tack that is great for jumping. Has two small wings on the saddle that flutter up and down. VERY popular.
•50 Mil Companion: A very special companion that is worth up to 50.5 million horse isle dollars. These companions are blue and green baby dragons, and a phoenix.
•Hit: To hit a jump at ESJ or WSJ.
•Kill: To exit everyone out of a jumping arena, or in other words, ruining it :) Can be done by pressing X when the jumping game comes, or a page is opened before the competition.
•AJ: Advanced Jumping, west of ESJ

Many more terms will be added in the future.

New Update, But No New Content :|

Hello everyone, I apologize for my absence of blogs lately. School has been starting and things are hectic for now. Don't fear my absence, though! I will always be on Hprse Isle, bringing you new quests and more new content information.
Here's a pretty big update for the richest players currently, and it has to do with money, obviously. Here's the update we got last night/this morning:
Please note that there is a max amount of money that you can hold in the bank and that you can have on hand. This is mostly just because of the coding, but it's also to help prevent people from getting even more insane amounts of money than they already have.
The maxes are:
$9,999,999,999 in the bank
$2,147,483,647 on hand.
If you go over the amount on hand (by trading or selling an item) you will lose the money. We do not return lost money. I'm sorry for those that have already gone over the limit. There will be a note in banks in the next update.
Speaking of the next update, we are working hard and hope to get one by the end of the week. I can't make any promises though. There's lots of work to do. Thanks for being patient!
-Joe and Miranda

Wow. I am in glory. However, who has THAT much money anyways? I'll give a guess - Werewolf. Probably the most experienced, wealthiest, and knowledgeable ever on ANY server. But I might be wrong, I just assumed that since she gave out more than 100 Mil at a B/C. Everyone got 1mil each just for coming, 27Mil.
1st place went to my very favorite buds on the game - Mushfrog (Mushy). It was a 50mil companion from Lava Isle. I cant even imagine what 2nd and 3rd place received. Anyways, back on the subject:

Speaking of the next update, we are working hard and hope to get one by the end of the week. I can't make any promises though. There's lots of work to do. Thanks for being patient!

What awesome people, to keep us informed. Even though I am a little impatient for the next update, I can wait. I just try to imagine that the update IS SO AWESOME that it needs a little time. It works ;)

I hope you all enjoy the new breed (if there is one) when it comes. I'm sure we'll get a new horse, but you never know. Well, its almost time for school.
Have a great day!

Blog Update / Aug. 25th 2011

Hello guys, just a small update to deliver:
Starting this month I will be posting pictures of the new breed, companions, et cetera.
This means I won't be posting a picture of the Walkaloosa or Giraffe.
Here is an update from Joe and Miranda in their exact words:

Sorry for it once again being so long between updates. We are hoping to be able to do an update within the next week or so. So, please be patient a bit longer and we'll have some new content for you.
Thanks [so] much!
-Joe and Miranda

Horse Isle has once again been late for an update, but as soon as I notice the new update I'll run straight to my blog! Hang in there guys, we'll be getting new stuff soon =)

How to - Become a Subscriber

Becoming a subscriber to Horse Isle has many advantages. Here are some well-known benefits:
~You have unlimited playtime. I can't tell you how enjoyable it is to stop worrying that I'll be disconnected in the middle of a Beauty Contest. I also have completed many quests since I have no limit. If I wasn't a subscriber, I probably wouldn't be able to show you what Lava Isle looks like!
~You can own a Ranch. Owning a ranch has been really fun. I can choose what items I'd like for it, I can own as many horses as I'd like, and if I have to log off, I know that players can still buy horses for sale from me off auto sell, even while I'm gone! Ranches can cost a bit of money, but when you are responsible, it works out smoothly.
______________
So how do you become a subscriber? After reading this article you'll have full confidence in buying a subscription, or better known as a "subby".

1) You will first need a PayPal account. There is also money order and check options, but PayPal is much safer and you receive your benefits in less that a minute with this. Making a PayPal account is easy, just go to www.paypal.com. At the top, in very tiny lettering you'll see "Register". Don't fill in this information without your parents. Together you should check your information at least 3 times.
2) Once you have the PayPal account, put some money in the bank account.
Month subscriptions are $5.00, no tax.
Year Subscriptions are $40.00, which is a better deal, because you could be paying $60 if you only buy month subbies for a year round.
3) Go to Horse Isle. Log in, and go to your Server. Scroll down to the subscription box. Click on the Orange button that is across from the Month Subscription or Year Subscription. You'll come to a white page with a web receipt and a PayPal Login box. type in your password for PayPal, and then (I believe) you are redirected to a Horse Isle page. It is a small paragraph telling you "Thank You" for buying the subby.
4) Now go to your account (Horse Isle) again. It says your subscribed! Congrats!
But don't be worried if "Active Subscription" doesn't appear by your server. It takes a day for this to appear, I honestly don't know why.

Parents: Horse Isle will not keep your Child's subscription running, and keep billing you. Once your child's month subscription (31 days) is over, their benefits end until you buy another subscription. You can also increase your quantity at the PayPal page, which, for example, if you buy 4 subscriptions, your child gets 124 days.

If you have any questions, please comment below.

NCPs: Hudson, Sara, and Candide (a few others as well)
Bring: Apple Treats, 4 of them.
Rewards: 40-50k 400 quest points

This is probably one of the most popular quests in HI History! Its a real QP booster!
_________________
Talk to Hudson, the cabin owner in the "head" of Turtle Isle. Ask where his mother, Sara is. He will eventually send you to Bone Isle, where Sara is. Talk to her about pies. She, then, will eventually send you to Eldorado Isle, where Candide is.
Talk to Candide. Talk to him about his Golden Sheep. The quest begins!
~Helle: Helle is on Crescent Isle. Very shortly I will have a post on how to get to isles like this one.
~Phrixia is found by going to the rock shop owner Grey Slate. Let him send you to Hotzplotz isle. But first, you have to talk to Remy of the Art Isle Inn to get Slate's snack. Bring it back to Slate. Talk to King Phil very politley. Or he'll send you to prison isle. You'll get the sheep by getting king phil his snack. So you have to get snacks 3 times. What a blow.
Nephele - Talk to Rafiki on Quiet Isle, get to him by talking to Galvin in the cabin in the small forest East of Treeton, Rafiki will tell you he no longer has the sheep, go back to Galvin and he will send you to Nina on Tail Isle, after talking to Nina, search on the road South East of her cabin to find the tracks that send you North, go North to the double palm tree and the sheep will be to the right of the tree.
Now, the last sheep!
Athomos is on Ardent Isle. He is below a palm tree down south. You found him!
Now repeat the process you took to get to Eldorado Isle. Give Candide all of his sheep, and there is your reward ;)
Now that wasnt so hard, was it?!?!

Ms. Beesdales Lost Excellency

Starts at: Treeton
NCPs: Ms. Beesdale, Rupert Firetuck, and Chickletti & Blinky.
Bring: Nothing
Rewards: 20k and A LOT of quest points!

This quest is sooo complicated, just like Crash's Crush. So here we go...
__________
Go to Ms. Beesdale in the Treeton Inn. Talk to her. She is stressed because her fiance is lost and their wedding is coming up very shortly!
Boys. -.-
She will tell you to go to Chickletti and Blinky at the Shellton Inn. Talk to Chickletti first. Eventually he will give you a note. Talk to him again and he'll give you a code book. Now talk to Blinky. Well, he "honks" and then gives you a note also.
Head to Jungle Isle. Use the map. Do you see those two clearings southwest of Tropicton? Head Southeast of those. Well, be east of them, right between them. You'll soon see a group of trees in a circle with a hole in the middle. In other words, its a donut patch xD
While standing west of the donut tree group, you see a small group of rocks. Dig here, and you'll pop out to the middle if the tree group! Walk around a bit, and you'll see him, Rupert Firetruck. Talk to him, and give him the notes and code book. Now, if you have a ranch, I recommend pressing F12 if your ranch is on Horse Isle, that way, you completely avoid going through the jungle. Go back to Ms. Beesdale, and tell her you found Mr. Rupert. On her way outside, she'll give you your deserved reward!

Quest - Crashes Crush / Under the Sea Mystery

Starts at: The Southwest leg of Starfish Isle.
NCPs: Crash Joller, Isadora, Triton, Dolphin, and Bastien, a Sea Crustean.
Bring: 5 Normal Fish
Rewards: A whopping 75k and 200qp (It may be more than that)

This is honestly one of the coolest quests I have ever done. I'm sure you'll love it ;)
___________
When you are at the Southwest leg of Starfish Isle, go east of a double palm tree. You'll find Crash, a guy who has fallen in love! Talk to him, and he'll say that he saw a girl on the beach that was pretty. That girl is Isadora, on Hoof Isle. Talk to her about Crash. She'll give you a seashell necklace to give to Crash. Return to Crash, and give him the necklace. 1st part of the quest is done :)
****
This is the cool part, just read on. When you talked to Crash, he probably said that you should go to Isadora and tell her that Crash is coming over to see her. She then is very distressed, telling you that her father, Triton, the sea king, will not allow her to marry someone of no royalty. She'll send you to her father, right in the middle of the ocean! Sure, map yourself a few times, take some screen shots, its an amazing experience.
Talk to the Sea King, and get back on Hoof. When you are on Hoof, don't move! A little red NCP is there. Talk to him. he tells you to find a Mystery Box near a dolphin. So go to the dolphin on Dolphin Isle. Go to the "nose" of the isle, and travel east of the mini game. The dolphin is right there at the shore. She says she'll only give you the box if you give her 5 big fishies. Talk her into giving her 5 normal fish. She accepts. Give the fish to her. You have the mystery box!
Now go to Bastien. Give him the gift. Go to Isadora, and ask to go back to Triton. Give him the scroll that was in the box. He now says that the scroll entitles Isadora to marry whoever she likes. Go back to her, and tell her the good news!! There is your reward.

Discovering It - Lava Isle

Just today I was awarded my 25% of Quest Points. I can't tell you how excited I was to finally achieve this goal. Now, everyone knows, the first thing you do when you get that award, is to go to Lava Isle, a popular destination for experienced players. I was bouncing off the walls while taking my HI horse to Hoof Isle, then to Patsy, and finally being "POOFED" to the one of a kind Lava Isle!

I'm sorry the picture is so small! Yes, there are clouds in Lava Isle :) Lava Isle also includes some cool unique lime green trees that appear to be bubbles, volcanoes, and of course - the HUGE maze. And Lava Isle is the only isle that Draft breeds can be found on, such as Gypsy Vanners, Belgians, and Percherons.

You can find many pumice stones on Lava Isle, which can be sold to the Rock Isle Rock Shop for $47 each.

That's it for now about Lava Isle. If I discover anything more about Lava Isle, I will report it ASAP. Mind you, it will be a very short post!
